How can we have gritty 18 years olds that have been trough s*** already by the time they left High School, when they didn't grow up on any technology like smartphones and actually had to experience life and the streets, like Prodigy of Mobb Deep or Nas or Biggie.

I don't think we can ever bring back that era of Hip-Hop and it will always be people that have lived life mostly filtered through a screen from now and forever.
