Imagine if Drake didn’t drop this year. In the “dot era”… holy s*** the genre would be below like jazz music on the charts

GNX came out in 2024 and hip hop is now flopping in 2026 where Drake dropped 3 albums

    What do you mean upload?

Why would I want access to every album ever?

Every time an album drops you don’t want to have to scour the internet to find a download link. You just wanna hit play

Yes I do. I also just buy it.

To me it’s time well spent. Takes like 5 minutes too lol

Yall been so conditioned to this access that it’s devalued music.

Thats why I think the Internet is delusional with the constant Wayne and Eminem hate.

These niggas could drop 3 more C6s and Revivals and STILL have a stronger legacy than all of these newer rappers who are supposed to be hot and running the culture.

Peak/Prime > consistency. NBA Youngboy and Yeat are still in the shadow of GRODT in 2026.

  • yand

this site would be so much better if most of yall would just admit you don’t like a certain artist instead of these bad faith sub posts tbh

I love Kendrick i listened to section 80 the weekend it came out and was in the gnx thread saying it was fire when it dropped i just don’t like the double standards and bad faith arguments people have towards certain artists

  • dove

    I blame the economy too
we’re all so poor rn bro not everyone’s as captivated by the dream of flexing and are maybe even subconsciously tired of being called broke in their favorite songs by their favorite rappers

Hip hop did kinda go thru a little bit of a dip headed into the last recession

Niggas try to force “dot era” as some sort of asterisk to dude losing beef

Like “okay you won the beef but you can’t carry rap like drake did” lmaoo its like saying Brunson ring dont count because he dont got a signature shoe and not on cereal boxes lol

Which is still insane since drakes dropped multiple solo attempts and a collab versus Kendrick 1 project where he had the space to change the narrative/redirect attention from his L yet…

Niggas who aren’t drake stans dont use the term “dot era” because that was something drake stans came up with to lessen the blow of the loss

Kendrick always drops years apart and nothing indicated he was finna go on some run of increased visibility after the super bowl

It was literally declared by hip hop radio heads and i think elliott(?) tweeted it out. Dudes who were so obsessed with hating Drake jumped the gun on crowning Kendrick and he’s just disappeared like usual and it’s funny to watch. Anyway, AOTY iceman out now

It’s funny because Kendrick “disappearing” just proves all their theories about Kendrick wanting to “replace” Drake incredibly wrong

Nigga whooped his ass, dropped an album, toured, then went right back home
