the vaccine was not rushed
they built on existing data we had from the SARS outbreak in 02, since they are in the same family
why are you posting that pic in response to someone pointing out racism
We talking about vaccines for a GLOBAL pandemic.
Where u get the 4% from, u talking bout the ones who are waiting ?
Yeah, the "get it asap" people + the "wait and see" people. Basically everyone that's at least willing to get it voluntarily at some point.
The only people I really have an issue with are the "definitely not get it" ones and they seem at be pretty consistent across race, at least according to this poll
Great post bro but people going to sleep because the mainstream media won't talk about it
mainstream media talks about racial disparities in health. i've seen it talked about on npr and cnn
why are you posting that pic in response to someone pointing out racism
Because this is a global pandemic and the racism issues in America don't change that as the vaccine is also being researched and seeking approval in countries with black populations.
yall not gonna take the vaccine but i bet you wouldnt hesitate to take a shot that made your d*** bigger
If not enough people take vaccines, that's how near eradicated diseases come back. So no it's not just about do what you want.
Bruh...I guarantee you way more people are going to take the vaccine than those who aren't. We're just going to have people not taking it as soon as it's available as they're in the "wait and see" crowd. That wait and see period for most people is probably going to be 3-6 weeks.
You can check all these numbers and they far outweigh those who are straight up not taking it and/or only taking it if their work requires them to do so.
The way I see it, the overwhelming majority is taking the vaccination in general. The s*** is getting eradicated. If it doesn't get eradicated I guarantee that'll be more as a result of the vaccination straight up failing more than it would be a small minority of people in comparison not taking it.

in all honesty, those of us who aren’t in healthcare or are at risk won’t get the vaccine for another good bit, i think the skepticism will die down a bit

Stupid ass post and username.

being high risk >>>>
plain and simple nobody gets to tell any group of people how to feel about something, especially given the topics history
you cant dictate someones elses feelings, but you can tell them when they're wrong or not
this is a global s*** bruh. If you dont want to take the vaccine, then dont f***ing take it. Its your right.

we still need to get to the 80% threshold to fully eradicate the disease.
the polls are around 60% now for people willing to take it. not enough
his first post was that non black people shouldnt tell black people to not be skeptical, so i provided him a hypothetical situation where if it would be okay to tell black people to not be skeptical if the vaccine is proven to be 100% safe.
his response was sure, and also if theres no "medical racism" aswell
Medical racism doesn’t necessarily pertain to the medicine itself, but how the doctors utilize it. Look into the death rate of black woman in labour compare to white. It’s the same medicine, but the doctors treat black woman differently (which leads to their deaths).

i hope so
peoples lives depend on it
I'd like someone to explain to me how a COVID vaccine could potentially target people of color
And don't try to just site the disparities in quality of healthcare between white and black and brown people because I'm very aware of that and it's a f***ing travesty

Emphasis on the word GLOBAL. Take your meds nigga.

that’s tap dancing on broken glass, in a racial context, telling someone they’re overreacting to something so serious is not the role of anybody not belonging to that group
hesitation to take a vax due to the Tuskegee experiment is understandable but black people aren’t the only group thats taking it
