Yeah, Birdman had Wayne at gun point making them both get rich off of UNCREDITED BLACK LABOR

    not gunpoint, contract

or do you not remember how f***ed Wayne’s contract was?

Daytona has no tags but you still know it was produced by Ye. Otis was 100% Ye and still no tags. Regardless who listens to a song and says damn where tf is the jeff bhasker producer tag

So an artist on Kanye’s label who released an album whos marketing and rollout relied largely upon Kanye having produced the whole thing

    And a literal Kanye song

Yall can at least come up with some less ed examples if this is the angle you’re gonna take

This reminds me how much I hate how on Lord I need You Kanye is singing and pouring his heart out then all of a sudden you hear “WHEEZY OUTTA HERE”

Niggas started saying Kanye fell off around the same time he started letting tags rock heavy on his albums but niggas mad he said he don’t like tags crazy how life works

  • heyginkgo

why Do you think that was used as a major part of its promotion... kanye is known for being a great producer/having a dope signature sound. Also Otis still a good example tho

i think it was more bc they knew people wouldn’t buy any of those albums unless Kanye’s name was attached to every song

i think you’re giving your friend too much credit — sounds like your friend wasn’t even a casual listener, more like a reluctant listener. did he even like rap?

First he must've been older, now you're playing semantics between casual listener and a term you just made up I feel like you're reluctant to admit someone else could be right about something tbh

I f***ing hate Hit-Boy and his constant jabs at Ye

we’ve got different definitions of a casual listener lol

i.e. i wouldn’t call a Taylor Swift fan who might hear a Kanye song on the radio a “casual listener” of Kanye’s music

but i would consider someone who mainly listens to pre-made playlists where Kanye often comes up a casual listener of Kanye’s music
