Dec 24, 2021Chris M1. nasir production was not good. cops shot the kid was a good beat but got ruined with the sample running throughout the entire song.
2. I said this previously, nas needs to distance himself from hit boy or limit his collaborations with him. not have 3 straight albums with songs solely produced by hit boy. it becomes oversaturated and I would rather hear other producers on it.
I don't mind nas and hit together, but not shoving it down our throats like this. I just love old nas from the 90's and early 2000's.
Nasir was great, a bit rushed, but still good.

Hit boys beat quality aside, anything he gave nas is better than that weak ass Nasir album. Kanye gave nas some lazy ass beats and told him he had a week to put something together

I still return to Nasir and get moved by the music.
I do agree that Nasir was rushed, one can really hear it on “Bonjour”, but it’s still heaps better then the last 3 Hitboy albums.

It's the same boom bap drums with some basic chopped sample for the third f***in album in a row. You can mix that oldschool sound with newer style drums to make it more interesting but hey who am I, people seem to enjoy it.this the type of beats i'd like to see him more on tbh
