the fact that it's normalized that we have roaming mentally ill crackheads that inhabit the streets in every major city in the US and mfs think "uhm thats just normal? just don't bother them. thats just a part of city living!!!" is insane. no wonder this country is so f***ed. you people think everyone around you is an animal, the fact you see a literal human harassing everyone around them after living in squalor and youre response is to act like that's normal as if theyre some kind of animal like a rat you'd see in a subway tunnel is disgusting. institutions have utterly failed this country and the filth and squalor these people live in is because of people like you who would rather turn this situations into virtue signaling bullshit than acknowledge the government has failed 30 years of policy and forced individuals into either being in constant fight or flight or trusting their environment so little they'd literally kill a homeless person because they don't think the government will help them

Depends on the location entirely. The homeless situation is out of control in the closest city I live near. I wrote on this pages back that our local government is too loose on the issue and doesn't care. They'd rather build luxury apartments than address the issue at hand. There are plenty of resources that are available for them, but with a police force that is virtually non-existent, and street d**** being widely available lots of these people sadly don't want to get better. Our DA won't prosecute and "Broken Windows" theory continues to prove itself correct.

I don't know how things work in NYC and I'm positive it's way different than here, but acting like every single homeless person is a 'victim' is just wrong. I'm not saying that Neely isn't innocent or that manslaughter was justified. This situation is its own entirety.

I keep saying in here that mental health care and d*** detox centers need to be publicly free. Privatized health care is clearly the biggest issue at hand. Also, social workers are not paid enough and there aren't many. Another thing too as stated on page 2 is that Nixon and Reagan basically let all of these people free when they shut down state psychiatric hospitals. This just let these people who were sick back into public with nothing to fend for themselves.

But sure as always the media will create this into a left vs. right thing. Even though this is 100% a class warfare issue. Beat the rich.

i don't think he should have killed him per-se but anyone thinking the general public just need to shut up and take it when there's unhinged mentally ill individuals constantly threatening everyone around them is delusional. this is a failure of the government and institutions first and foremost and deflecting this onto the actors in this specific situation is uneducated at best and bad faith at worst.

The problem is bigger than race. Blaming white people for everything won’t make anything right. Don’t even get me started on how BLM movement did nothing good, made a bunch of people rich and broke down a whole race into a phrase “Black Lives Matter” instead of creating some kind of progress.

Doesn’t Black Lives Matter when a Black person kill another black person?
