CulturePause was a colloquialism of sorts created by heterosexual men to make sayings, words, and phrases used in common conversation seem less gay.
If one bi-sexual person has no issue with it, I’m not mad at that but the inception of “pause” or “no homo” is clearly rooted in homophobia
And in 2021.. that s*** is on its last leg.. if not extinct

That’s sort of what has happened though
The d*** selling/abuse, violence, misogyny, normalization of black racial epithets still gets a pass but anything related to rape, homosexuality, or pedophila is a no go
At some point I expect the entire genre to get a makeover and everything will be taboo

I think most of the folks who are taking a stand against homophobia in hip-hop are also the same ones who want rappers to be off the streets and hard d****. at least, I can recognize the same users itt.
that's just my perception though, I've got no horse in this race.
