not sure what to watch tonight. thinking about tesis or the skin they live in. maybe a haneke movie
tesis
ana torrent was such a baddie in this
how is it? been wanting to watch that for a while
Trailer for this is pretty insane
Didn't peep that much new heat this September/October.
Psycho Beach Party was probably the hidden gem.
Scream 4 surpassed expectations.
Diabolique and Blow Out were alright.
The Lost Boys and Rocky Horror long overdue.
Otherwise, some rewatches that were reliable. New stuff like Dark Harvest and Saw X were pretty bad. Deadstream was good tho.
Watched like 24 horror features + shorts and still feel like I barely saw anything.

I'm not sure it goes hard enough in its commentary for me, but I like it overall
I really can't even begin to explain how uncomfortable this made me in the best way. the constant ratcheting up of the tension, the drilling scenes, the dude's downward spiral -- it all worked. top 10 horror movie of the 90s for me.
doesnt get the credit the first one does but it's actually a lot better. wish the uncut footage still existed.
Is Imaginary that bad? Is there even a thread for that movie on here? Can't find one, lol. Movie getting s***ted on by people that usually enjoy anything.
Late Night With the Devil tickets secured. 3/15 with a special Q&A afterward
Tonight. I’ll give a good review for it. Wide release is next weekend. First big horror release of the year

I saw the trailer and assumed it was just some Shudder original thing thats going straight there. Super excited to see its getting amazing reviews and a theatrical release

Movie looks promising from the trailer
I prefer the sequel but the first one is still a trip. Terry O'Quinn really should've been in more things, such an underrated actor.

Haven’t seen the trailers, going in blind
Movie was good, didn’t go as far as I wanted it too though. Great concept but no t enough umph
extremely early slasher/exploitation flick from 1963. vilmos zsigmond cinematography. essential viewing if you want to see the origins of the goat subgenre.
First Omen tomorrow at Alamo Advanced Screening. Very excited.
Be sure to update! I actually wanna check that out
As promised,The First Omen might be my mainstream horror of the year.
I gas a lot of movies, but I’m also really critical of horror when I feel it (mainstream horror) doesn’t go as far as it should. It’s funny seeing this and immaculate release within two weeks. This film doesn’t fall into the 2024 horror tropes or writing style as much or at all from memory fresh out the theater. Visuals and imagery were outstanding, there’s a moment about 80% in after some revelations come to light and Nell Tiger Free looks horrifying in this brief clip. I really enjoyed it.
Religious horror can be done so well if you claw into the fears of Christians. There’s so much superstition and things that would be absolute blasphemy that I think writers and directors can tap into.
