some stuff i watched yesterday:

death walks at midnight: less a horror film than it is a murder mystery but it's very fun to watch thanks to it's beautiful photography, even if everyone is written as one-dimensionally as possible

high tension: this s*** is so ass lmfao. funny how a film called "high tension" doesn't have much tension in it. not to mention how dumb the story is, as well as the blatant homophobia . cool effects though

extremely real for carnival of souls. thats an all timer for me

Kicking it off with The Thing

Random October watch list so far:

Totally Killer - Super fun watch! It was completely off my radar until I stumbled upon a Dead Meat video on it. Entertaining concept that they actually pulled off pretty well. Hilarious throughout, too.

Dr. Sleep - I love every series Mike Flanagan does, but I never got around to Dr. Sleep. I mostly liked it. The last hour’s fan service is a little much, but it’s mostly done well. The baseball boy scene is pretty horrific, but not gratuitous.

V/H/S/Beyond - Solid entry for the series. If they keep pumping them out, I’ll keep watching them. It’s usually a guaranteed 6 or 7 out of 10 and has its gems. This one is no exception. The poster for it is fire af too.

I had no clue there was more V/H/S movies after Viral. Definitely bout to check them out

I’m surprised the franchise didn’t outright die after Viral with how ass it was. 94 is definitely a return to form and worth a watch.

I just checked out Faces of Death for the first time because it’s on Shudder lol. I cannot believe this s*** was gassed for DECADES. It’s obviously a different world now with the internet and all the gore you want is at your fingertips, but man was it dreadfully boring. I don’t really know what I was expecting but it certainly was not that.
