Trav is a certified legend
Not a hot take imo, especially among younger generation
Jay Z is overrated
Trav's next album will be mid
Partynextdoor is a Top 3 R&B artist
he's only overrated as an album artist
pac and big's status will take a huge hit once some of these other rappers die hov,kanye,drake,nas,kendrick,3stacks....
It's weird, because they're all significantly older than pac and big were when they died,
but pac and BIG still seem like the "big dogs" so to speak. legends.
I’m surprised no one got mad that the last NERD album was essentially false advertising
It’s not an NERD album the other members contribute about 1% while Pharrell wrote and produced everything else
Maybe that’s why it wasn’t that good
Arctic Monkeys suck
big f***ing cap but its the hot take thread u get a pass
ye is better than yeezus
Idk about better but the era was legendary
I was only 13 when yeezus dropped but ye dropped the summer I graduated hs
Was a tough time and so much was going on but it was a comforting soundtrack for me. I don’t get the hate for it. I treat it like a nice little EP
Big Boi deserves to be over Andre on top lists. They put together the second best discography in Hip-Hop, and Big Boi has a solo classic while Andre never dropped.

Exact same situation just a year ahead of you

so yea lowkey f*** Pharrell for doing that
Don’t Be Cruel is the best Pop/Rnb Album ever made. Nothing comes close

NERD sucks for the most part
Blog rap era > today’s landscape
what do u consider blog rap era... like mid 2000's to early 2010s?

but Andre clearly has the better verses most of the time

Hometown GOAT
We need to embrace short songs, if the artist has exhausted the musical idea at 1:30-2:30 min let the song end instead of adding a useless feat or an unnecessary 3rd verse
Yummy by JB wasn’t bad but it’s one of the most confusing and worst lead singles I’ve heard in a while
Probably since JT’s Filthy which I feel the same way about
but Andre clearly has the better verses most of the time
I'd say Andre often had better verses but it was always close and the two were a perfect duo. Andre went on an epic feature run though, but Big Boi dropped SLLF.
top 10 or whatever number lists are dumb and no one really relates to music in that way

I dont think this is a hot take, people are just entertained by the chart antics and drama
If you arn't attempting to give new artists your attention and are cozy listening to the same old same old your opinion does matter less

On here I know that people be pretty serious about accolades like it's what goes through their ears when they hit play. The ego game be such a part of peoples lives they actually claim to believe these lists even if it actually what you said it is
Key Glock would be much bigger if he wasn't on Young Dolph's label, but they're family, dolph helped him, and the musics dope so I'm not complaining.
Memphis the dopest scene in Hip-Hop but forever slept on.

Well we live in the validation age, if you like the most popular thing = you are right. I dislike it a lot, plus we cant even be critical on artists we enjoy because you immediately get tagged as a hater or have bad taste just cause you arn't accepting the most mainstream opinion. Social media has killed music discussion in a lot of ways. Forums are some of the last havens of actual discussion and even that has been watered down over the years.
