Has it always been like this or are things super f***ing bad right now?
looking at Beyonce and Drake tickets
they're both playing stadiums
cheapest Beyonce ticket I can get is $400 for worst possible nosebleeds
cheapest floor ticket is well over $1000
cheapest Drake ticket is $320 and hes playing like 9 shows in New York
floor is $700
same story with Taylor tickets
I know these are superstars but these prices are absolutely nuts for stadium shows especially considering the number of shows they're doing
I could buy a coachella ticket, accomodation, transport etc for cheaper than a Beyonce floor ticket and see 3 headline level artists and a ton of others
I just dont understand who is able/willing to spend upwards of $600+ on a single concert let alone thousands of people being willing to do so at every stop of their tours
I’m used to paying these prices but they are usually back stage passes included. It’s gotten out of hand
Wayne’s I Am Music Tour when he was in his prime was $350 with meet and greet

exactly
like that kinda pricing makes sense for VIP stuff
but for floor??? thats absolutely insane

Cole really did $1 shows. Smh.
Wish we could go back to that time.
As long as people are paying I don’t see it stopping.

prices are set based on demand.
I paid €108 for The Weeknd, Kaytra and Mike Dean in Barcelona next month.
If it was just The Weeknd I wouldn’t do it.
anyways i’m spending a few more days in there enjoying my holidays and the concert was the reason to hang out with other friends so I ain’t mad at the tickets price.
they taxing and im not paying
The price of strawberries has gone up to 4x and your talking to me about drake

108 for Weeknd alone is totally reasonable though let alone Kaytra and Mike included
I just dont understand how there's that level of demand to where they can do 40 shows in the US and tickets stay this expensive especially while festival tickets dont have this level of price inflation

we need to start a dialogue

yea its a shame
feels like recorded music is undervalued and live music is overvalued in the market rn

120 dollars for one of the biggest pop stars is pretty clean. Hell Ed Sheeran is around the same price

I mean what did you expect? There’s a lot of people in the US to see them.
society is crumbling and artists / corporations are trying to cash out, didnt you get the memo bro
2024 election / societal collapse coming soon!
320 for a drake arena show sounds on par
320 for a nosebleed ticket at MSG on a Tuesday night when hes playing like 5 straight shows is crazy tho

I’m buying a mandarin tree this wknd I think
Ya they’re just out of season that price still makes me genuflect in the fresh produce aisle a bit tho

After the initial investment of $60 it will take me 16 months of harvest to flip it back & see straight profit 💸💸
