I'm convinced this has something to do with X and Peep passing. Soundcloud era ended with them. 6ix9ine gone too (for a few more weeks)

Just a continuation of the southern hip hop movement. It’s the only region consistently evolving and pushing out new artist. And the south is highest population of African Americans so the culture is abundant therefor there are countless rappers with the same or similar styles. We still have one more decade of southern domination.

Oh and the south is so influential west coast and northern hip hop styles adapted the southern sound.
