How do I tell my homie he sucks at rapping?

    UPDATE: I didn’t tell him he sucked but he messaged again about collaborating today and I just told him I’m currently working on my project & focusing on my own stuff and he just hit me with the “👍🏻🤙🏻 “ and I guess that’s where we at with it lol

    One of my high school friends who I’m fairly still close to has been trying to do this music thing for about 7-8 years, mind you he’s never been good but he’s kept trying. Fast forward to 2021 he’s now releasing tracks and man I get second hand embarrassment listening to him do this….he has not improved AT ALL. I really don’t want to come off as a hater but now he’s wanting me to collab with him. What would y’all do?

    I'd say don't tell him he sucks, just give him some advice, point out what he should work on and stuff like that

    I am, I’m a recording artist. But nah dude I’ve tried that to an extent and it’s like he just does not get any better. It’s super cringe lol
