I wish that video of Drake singing One Dance poorly hadn't been conspicuously removed from YouTube. It was always funny.

OP: Listen to NWTS His vocals and flows were so much more energetic, everything sounds more vibrant

    Next sentence:
How can you listen to NWTS and feel like he hasn't lost his hunger?

I agree that drake has lost a lot of that energy. But I also feel like there’s very few rappers who have been able to keep that hunger. Someone like Jay Z is a great example. 4:44 is a fantastic album and there isn’t a verse on that that sounds ‘hungry’. Kanyes another one. Rapping wise he hasn’t been hungry since Yeezus. It doesn’t mean he can’t make good music it just means the music he’s making changes

The relaxed-almost-bored but very natural delivery is characteristic of UK Drill, which he was paying homage to.

It’s a popular sound in Toronto, too.

Idk when he goes hard it still goes hard and when he has a smooth joint it's still smooth

I liked Nonstop, Ratchet Happy Birthday, Mob Ties, Can't Take A Joke and many others on Scorpion and I didn't even like that album that much.

Something that people gotta respect imo is Drake's features quality. I hear some trash features all the time from rappers that we all know aren't that dedicated nor do they even care like that. But Drake always shows up and it's always at the very least good. Like if you made an album of all his features it would probably be one of his best albums. Up there with IYRTITL and NWTS.

At the end of the day I listen to music to appease my ears, I don't need advice from some stranger I don't know so all I care about is a good sound. He doesn't have to threaten to kill people or anything. Just a good sounding voice with some good sounding flow on a good sounding beat.

You think War was good? Relaxed delivery isn't the problem, execution is.

    Hell no.

I’m just saying in context, it’s not Drake giving up, it’s actually Drake experimenting. I don’t know if that’s worse.

I thought Hov sounded very uninspired for a while. MCHG was extremely lackluster. He's a good example of someone who managed to return to form imo. Vocals, charisma, energy are essential elements. While Kanye can still be amazing musically his vocals are one of my major issues with songs like Water and Everything We Need. But he still has some really fire vocals on ye and JIK. KSG was fire front to back.
