ultimately a good thing but occasionally people get lumped in with rapists when they just a******s or weirdo creeps

like many things today, i agree with and support the message but can't get behind the organizations around it. people like Alyssa Milano don't care about women, they care about using women as tokens of political strategy. i wish the movement surfaced in a more decentralized manner because so many people think #MeToo was some astroturfed movement by democrats or something now and that dumb political conspiracy has overshadowed actual problems in our society

    Go more in depth

I kind of get what he’s saying. People get caught up with the Me Too label and don’t look at what the accused did individually. So, like Aziz got called out basically for being a pushy/creepy date, Louis CK was exposing himself to people and then you have someone like R. Kelly who was systematically abusing children.

All three are varying degrees of f***ed up, but some people kind of lump all of the abusers together. It wouldn’t really be fair to compare what Aziz did to what Weinstein or R Kelly did.

I personally don’t think it’s that big of a problem, though.

I’m all for creeps getting exposed, but who’s to say that a woman can’t just flat out lie or fabricate a story about someone she has a vendetta against in order to get back at them? I know a lot of people that are vengeful as F*** and wouldn’t hesitate to ruin some dude’s life if he just simply insulted them or did something petty like that, there needs to be some kind of due process imo

I’m so happy more women are given a platform to speak up against their abusers

It started out good. Took down some big abusers. Then they started going after people who might have been innocent because it slowly became a witchhunt.

I feel like it started out strong but then innocent people got hurt.

It’s great. Women shouldn't have to live in fear of these weirdo niggas lmfao. They should be able to speak out and spread awareness to other women. Like bruh, I be reading some of these stories on Twitter and I’m just like some of these niggas are fr evil, like you CAME OUT OF A WOMAN. I could never disrespect a women like that, and although I’m not perfect I still know right from wrong

I support it but I feel like it has become too focussed on famous people in entertainment industry and not enough on what ordinary women go through.

It’s a reason why a lot of losers here say social media is cancer

Social media is a cancer on society but it has nothing to do with metoo

Nah, few weeks ago there were a lotta pages where women anonymously expose their abusers. It died down for the most part, but most niggas do be getting brought out the paint

Well that's great that things like that are happening but it's still a concern for me

    Why you say that?

Its become more about cancelling famous people than raising awareness about rape in society.

there are certainly some privileged white woman who hijacked the movement to a certain extent although I feel like in it's entirely as a movement it's a net benefit
