Most of us on this site are probably known as the “Kanye guy” within our social group of friends, family, coworkers etc

With Kanye’s recent antics over the last two years I’m sure we’ve all been confronted by these people and questioned about why Kanye is acting like he is? I feel like with his latest announcement to run for president and the entailing GQ interview its only gonna get tougher to defend him.

Therefore I want to know from other seasoned vets what your main talking points are that work best when you get put into this difficult position of defending Kanye in front of your peers

bro kanye's not a racist, pedo, killer rapist, or white......If niggas during the 90s can defend Michael jackson and r kelly, why can't i be a fan of ye?

I find most of the time it’s not worth it. He brings out strong emotions from people around me and it becomes an ugly argument

I just sit back and watch him prove people wrong over and over and know they know lol

Being a Kanye fan in 2020 is kinda like being part of the LGBTQ community

It’s something you generally keep inside until you feel ready to confess it

Kanye still has the biggest/most active rap Fanbase on the internet

I truly believe he is a good person and good at heart, but I think he can best make positive change in the world through his music, clothing, design etc rather than through politics.

  • I like Kanye. But I don't like him enough anymore to want to defend him to others. They can think he's a s***ty person and I wouldn't necessarily disagree with them.

I’ve typically found ways to defend him up to this point by “interpreting what he REALLY meant” but this is pretty cut and dry here. Not a lot of room for interpretation. Anti choice, anti vax, anti religious freedom for our youth

If it was literally anyone else I would not defend this. For me to try and defend him now, would be very disingenuous to my character and my beliefs
