Some people just like familiar and dont want to change up the program to much. I've had a taste of what being away/abroad can be like and once you have the experience you can never see yourself staying local after that. The truth of the matter is it isn't a reality for most people. People have kids and have to co-parent. Money is a factor which (most of) sheltered KTT cant understand the concept of living low income or on a budget. I'm not hating on anyone who stays local, but I know its not for me.

For those born in flyover states or in lame cities globally it's a different story. They're wasting their lives staying in the same place. Some people don't care enough to make the change tho and thats fine. We need people like that for balance.

Same goes for country. If you were born in a great country theres no reason to leave. If you were born in an irrelevant country then start grinding and get out.

I fly for cheap and come from an upper-middle class home that put me in position to go to school on the opposite side of the country so I'm super fortunate. Not everybody can do that.

I do feel a certain type of way when people peak in high school and are just coasting off of that tho. Those are the real losers.
