We are forced to do this at my college. Or at least some professors force us to indicate the exact way we want to be known in our introduction videos (fuck flip grid tho). Part of my grade came from it.
Also I have one professor who puts (she/her) in her username for zoom somehow
Edit I didn't answer so ig I don't really care. It seems weird but it shouldn't be. Just part of the times changing.
Sounds like something my father would freak the f*** out over tho
People do it to signal their allyship wit the trans community and to normalize it
Dont think it will catch on but it helps more than harms 🤷🏿♂️
you cannot say (she/her)~ and forget the blacklivesmatter.carrd.co ACAB eat the rich

lmao u real
Why would this bother you?
It’s better to know than assume.
I think it's corny, but I'm not losing sleep over it. Wouldn't say it 'bothers' me.
Just wanted to see other opinions on it cus It's one of those things where you see it once, then you start noticing it more and more.
I thought the whole point was branching out society’s norms and labels just to end up back using even more labels
Bro
Funniest thing to me is the "+" being added to lgbtq. I remember when it was just LGB

Your father should freak the f*** out about it. How is forcing people to describe themselves a forward thinking concept? Isn't college supposed to be about freedom of thought?
I don't care what people do or how they want to be referred. I have a friend who prefers "they/them" and I consciously try to respect this in conversation with them, but your professors a f***ing clown.

That's actually an interesting point wtf
