I hate when a straight woman does it on her profile cause then i just look at the whole profile like

but a woman is a woman even if they a trans woman

  • Oct 15, 2020

maybe i'm just dumb and reading wrong

  • Oct 15, 2020

Its just like a nice thing to do. A lot of my friends are trans, some of them haven't undergone any transition procedure yet. It makes conversations flow much better when you know its ok to call someone a she/him/they/anything else

“aha i thought the point was to get rid of labels but now there’s more aha”

    we don’t live in a post-gender society
ppl are still expected to fit into the binary
if it makes them more comfortable what’s it to you

why do ppl need to use the term cisgender what’s wrong w just male” “female”

cuz they not the same thing

  • Oct 15, 2020

it really should be a thing like asking someone what their name is, asking what their pronouns are too

it's such an easy thing to do idk why people make a stink about it

why do people use the term “top” or “bottom” ?

Thought that was an alternative to dom/sub or giver and receiver

Maybe i'm just being cynical but I've noticed this lately that people do this on social media.

Like a cis gender woman will put "she/her" in her twitter bio. Why do they do this?

I am saying this as a straight, cis gender black man btw

There’s nothing wrong with it but if you obviously a girl and you consider yourself a girl, you don’t need to tell me that you want to be called a girl

“Cisgender is a term for people whose gender identity matches their s***assigned at birth.”

how is this not the same as just being a “male” if you were born male or being “female” if you were born female

I think they mean that "straight" and "cisgender" are not the same thing.
