He’s got the perfect balance imo. He’s not one of those artists that only hops on to promote whatever they have coming out, but he’s also not someone who gives out too much unnecessary information with the phone in their face all day.

Nah. He’s doing it perfectly. When we see him on some of Marks/Noels lives that’s good enough cause means we might get tasters for new tracks.

  • I actually think he's handling it perfect, not to in your face but not going ghost. That's more relatable

Feels like an event whenever he’s on live since it’s so rare too

He's doing just enough. Glad he's not over doing it.

Exactly. You never know what to expect when he’s on there. Like a free show haha

Getting off twitter years ago and just using it as a promo vehicle is the best thing he could of ever done. I do miss his cryptic music related tweets tho

  • Apr 7, 2021

His tweets were classic but Twitter is such a negative space I completely get why he doesn’t use it. His balance on IG is perfect though for sure

  • He doesn’t overexpose his presence on social media. A lot of artists make that mistake. A premeditated Instagram post from him still means a lot.

  • Apr 7, 2021

Miss his tweets tbh Peak stuff of twitter

Beyond that, he has the perfect balance. Keeps fans engaged without overexposing himself.

He 100% should be more reclusive. During his rise it made more sense to be active. This helped with his fan connection and social media presence. However, now, he doesn’t need. Not to sound pretentious, but it’s beneath him now. Look at his contemporaries at the same level. The Adele’s, Beyoncé’s, Bruno’s, Weekends etc.. They keep their social media presence brief and to the point. That way, the product feels more special and time-sensitive.

So yeah, personally, I think he’s on IG wayyyy too much.

I would get him off socials in general and do bi-annual 1 hour + long video interviews with people he’s genuinely cool with in the industry around the world. That way, we see him, we get the update, and we can patiently wait for the music.

Agree 100%, but do occasionally miss the “I’m pajammy’d down the flight attendants can tell I’m off the s***s” posts lol

Same but every now and then he’ll post something like that jolly ranchers post or that video of his barber tryna cut his beard, and id say they’re funnier because he doesn’t post like that everyday lol

I was just thinking about this other day. I do wish Drake interacted with his fans and showed his presence more but in his own way. He doesn't have to do the typical TikToks or IG Lives or even tweet. Honestly just wish he did more of the outside of the box s*** he been doing.

For example, it really sucks that the time he randomly joined Ninja's stream and played Fornite was the only time he did it. It's been 3 years since then and I still can't get over the fact that he didn't take it even further and joined other people's streams once and while or better yet stream once in awhile himself. Seemed like totally wasted opportunity to connect with a different type of audience and have fun while doing it. I mean he is co-owner for an gaming organization for crying out loud and he hasn't interacted with 100 Thieves at all besides that one picture with the founder like 3 years ago.

Also wish he did more acting in skits like he been doing with Druski and the most recent s***. Dude can act and it's sad that there are rappers and singers that have had more acting roles in movies and s*** over the past decade than Mr. Actor turned Rapper himself. Just wish he did more internet video or tv appearances like SNL, Late Night shows, Hot Ones, etc.

And again not that he needs to do IG Lives or tweet but it couldn't hurt to do it once in awhile. He doesn't have to not do them at all just do it in moderation like once a month or something.

I think that would be pretentious tbh. He's already a private person so he doesn't need to go ghost on social media. He really only uses IG and even with that, he doesn't post frequently. He's remained fairly active with music releases so him posting from time to time makes sense.

I do think as time goes on, he'll scale back on his social media use and that'll be good imo.
