still remember when I went to Cuba and saw busts of political leaders in people's front yards.
Imagine if Americans had a stone bust of George Washington sitting right next to their driveway and lawnmower
We do flags, bumper stickers, and other novelty items instead which seem less drastic but ultimately serve the same purpose.
Man was like rasputin they tried to kill him over and over and he outsmarted them every time
we share love for cigars and thats it, although davidoff make better cigars than any brand made in cuba

i have distaste for authoritarian leaders but i prefer him to someone like Stalin cause the regime before it was even worse
still don't think he was good person
Some people hate him some people love him, but heard that after he died they're talking about him for a whole week
I prefer leaders who don't put gay people in concentration camps tbh
Aint that che guevara
A dictator who seized billions from his people for personal use and created international tension through the cuban missile crisis which almost concluded with the end of the world if it wasn’t for one brave russian veto’ing the command to nuke America.
1st point: The average Cuban enjoyed a much better quality of life under his rule
2nd point: American talking about creating international tension LOL

1. Almost every country on earth enjoyed increased living conditions during the reign of Castro. Do you know how long he was in power? Do you think the world just stood still? Are you excusing him from draining billions from the cuban people? One can only imagine how advanced Cuba could’ve been without him. But all we can do is guess. What we do know is that he personally enriched himself over the backs of his people, and that is undeniable.
2. Are you excusing Castro just because “they did it too!”? I was stating a fact, because of Castro’s personal decision the world almost came to an end, and that is undeniable.

"Fidel Castro: the untold story" is a great doc, it definitely is mostly positive about Fidel and not very critical, but definitely worth a watch if you want to understand why Fidel is praised by so many.
If you wanna take more time to understand both his achievements and failures the book "A History of The Cuban Revolution" by Aviva Chomsky is a great read.
why do Cubans hate him to the point that they worship Trump
Cuban immigrants who are disproportionately white and wealthy compared to the actual population in Cuba, of course they're not gonna be fond of the guy who lead a proletarian revolution in their country.

Yeah the western capitalist countries would never!:
Is he saying that? Or are you just trying to get the attention on something else? You need to read better and stop refuting
Always interesting these type of responses
i don't know enough yet.
I'm sure there's really good and really bad elements tbh
Yeah the western capitalist countries would never!:
I don't remember saying this???
Fell off after his fifth year in power or so. Still think he deserves more respect for the Cuban revolution.
