I just came across this video on Twitter and it isn’t the first time that I have heard of an instance like this. I mean on one hand it’s kinda sad, but on the other hand, white people have no business being in Africa in the first place so
It's BS, and leaves out a lot of the context of why the farm attacks happen.
They often negate some o the realities of black farm workers or just the generally higher murder rate in the country.

That’s interesting. Can you further expand upon the realities of black farmers in South Africa?

Farm workers, are exposed to brutal treatment in those farms, but can't really bring attention to their realities because they don't have resources to report to the police because the farms are isolated.
I think its farmers in general being attacked over there, not just white ones, RT tryna spin a narrative

White's still hold majority of the land, farm murders have been used as white supremacist rhetoric for a while now, he brings up black farmers being murdered because this is going out to the world

Yeah I know that was the main idea of the video, but the notion of white farmers being killed in South Africa has been lingering for awhile. I believe even Trump referenced it once so I just wanted to see y’all thoughts on the matter

Yeah, expect to see some racist white dudes use this in petty arguments in the future when the reality is a whole lot different lmao
The farmer in the video was smart to say that tbh but i know a lot of racists will ignore that part completely
I have spoken to some south Africans.
Many are leaving the country for China (shows how bad it is )
It is very tense around there. Whites get blamed for everything and many black people still live in poverty. Why is the money SA makes not going to the people that need it ?
The politicians are corrupt and the government is mostly black but they dont care about "their" people.
That is not my opinion but just what I heard .
Violence on blacks and whites should be condemned.
ill never celebrate loss of human life but i dont know enough about the situation there to say if these killings are "justified" ... perhaps if the government is really unwilling to help farm workers and they're being worked inhumanely, this is the only option
of course if you're just killing farmers bc you know the government won't do anything thats a different story
Sounds like the issue is farmers being murdered because the government and law enforcement turn a blind eye to protecting them. Are these opportunistic murderers?

This such a white perspective, there's no acknowledgement of the private sectors role in fostering the volatile situation. Currption is seen as this new phenomena when it's something that's been a problem since Apartheid days

Farms are isolated often far from any cities, what are they expecting to happen?

What South Africans are fleeing to China? Whites? Blacks? Or both?
white people have no business being in Africa in the first place so
What is incorrect about that statement ?

That's crazy talk, if they said Australia they'd have a point. Most South Africans going to China go there among other countries, including Cuba for education, or to teach English.

Yeah I didn’t want to be reductionist about it, but I’m Nigerian and this is an issue we’ve dealt with since I’ve been alive but is rarely talked about (Nomadic Islamic herdsmen from the Fulani ethnic group attacking Christian farmers)
We downplay the violence as local squabbles over farmland, with no wider religious or cultural significance
I was thrown by this thread due to the emphasis on “White” farmers
What exactly is the issue from your perspective?
