Some good music for sure. Weak year for hip hop imo tho

It's fine. I haven't really given too much thought to the year as a whole but I feel like there's consistently music I'm interested in

Kelela dropped so that’s always great to listen to but not a lot really exciting dropped to me outside of slayr with avant nova

was compelled to check out more s*** than in previous years. i dont need to be wow'd anymore, especially during these times when all that'd be is a distraction. felt pleasantly well fed with what did release and i'm essentially just waiting for rap to die out in the mainstream so things can genuinely get interesting again. intimate, lowkey records are cool - not everything needs to be a world shattering event. lotta dat s*** just {literal} noise atp

It's solid. Rap has been fairly weak though as others have said. Charli XCX, Kelela, Brent Faiyaz, Erykah & Alc, Denzel & Kenny Beats, Drake (for the most part), slayr (for the most part), and knxwledge have all dropped music I have enjoyed a good bit. The rest has been bad to whatever to me or I haven't heard it yet. Cole was just ok for me, Bully was ok when it first dropped but kind of fell off for me over time, Vince was cool but didn't grab me fully like I wanted it to... Ken Carson was coo but his bar was in hell for me.

Ain’t s*** drop this year, declining attention spans and record/concert sales got artists terrified (hip hop wise for the most part)

Cant forget Maps and Scaring The Hoes, two of the best albums this decade. Split Decision one of the greatest EPs ever. Lana, Underscores, NBT and Geese all dropped good albums too
