The reaction seems to be, "don't say it around me"
Also, i don't want to get into the political reasons that set black Americans back (insufficient loans, lack of public school funding etc) those issues can be resolved with legislation all the whilst not allowing people outside of the culture to say the n-word. If we lived in a post racial world, no problem, say what you want, but America has differents rules and outcomes that for some reason negatively affect the poor and colored minorities more.
I agree w everything you're saying, but my whole point is the black community focusing on a larger goal bc let's be honest, this system aint never gonna support us. It never has and it never will. No one is ever gonna come out with a law that makes it illegal to say "nigga" and the more you try to make it that way it'll backfire cause ppl will kno that it'll generate such a huge outcry. So that's why my whole point is let's stop caring as much about the N-word and focus on making it mean more when ppl use it disrespectfully. When a celebrity says some s*** about jewish people u don't see it becoming a whole "don't say it around me" lil tacit code or whatever, they just end mfs career. Let's be on that wave and it'll send a message to the world
Yes, stop that s***.
Then if a rapper says fgt you have to do the same thing. Or if they disrespect women.
People get killed for being gay or women too.
It's just rapping along. But if you walk around saying it or write it on social media or stuff like that, then you deserve the consecuences.
I ain't gon let nobody call me a nigga but I for sure aint gonna go on twitter focusing on cancelling mfs for it. I used to be like y'all the word nigga used in a derogatory way used to get to me alot too but u gotta realize snotty ass white ppl gonna keep doing it cause they know it'll get a reaction and stop us from focusing on whats important
This sounds contradictory...how are you not gon let nobody call you a nigga when you know they will do it anyway?
This sounds like you will have some type of reaction but you also think you should focus on better things
I don't get what some of you expect from Em. He's a rapper, you guys want a politician.
what does any of this have to do with being a politician???
Contrary to what Twitter says, nobody cares if a white person says nigga while reciting lyrics to a song
what does any of this have to do with being a politician???
Politicians are supposed to do things for the people. Not Em.

honestly that's the truth. of course i'd have some reaction, ion think any black person wouldn't. but i also wanna focus on better things and control my emotions about that word. it's contradictory ik but what can i say, i'm human. and I just want good for my people
Politicians are supposed to do things for the people. Not Em.
he’s profiting off black culture
he’s a guest in hip hop he’s admitted it himself
my black friend energy
i actually cut off those edgy white boy types, but go off

Why tf are you coming up with apples and oranges comparisons?
What does people being killed have to do with this?
Whataboutisms at its finest
anytime race comes up I remember this is still a niche forum filled with white people and black people who are around them
Honestly no excuse. I don’t believe the man is a racist though, so let’s just calm down on that
So that means he has unlimited access to a racial slur ????????????
No, it means that he hasn't said it in decades in his music or performances.
This isn’t the first time Eminem did some stupid s*** like this
He disrespected MJ, literally a pioneer & the reason black artists even crossed over to white publications & radio stations
Steven wonder called Eminem out for being disrespectful to black culture whilst profiting off it
honestly that's the truth. of course i'd have some reaction, ion think any black person wouldn't. but i also wanna focus on better things and control my emotions about that word. it's contradictory ik but what can i say, i'm human. and I just want good for my people
Ironic.
The people you are telling to not care about the word and focus on other things are also human and will also react.

Whataboutisms at its finest
Using disrespectful terms obviously.
Ironic.

Just ignore him
The point he was trying to make failed miserably
Ironic.
The people you are telling to not care about the word and focus on other things are also human and will also react.
and like many other things it is what it is. maybe instead of "not care" i should've worded it as "care less" but the sentiment is all the same. all we can do is steady try n improve ourselves
Using disrespectful terms obviously.
Let me get this straight lol
So you are equating nigga and fgt?
And equating racism to homophobia and misogny
he’s profiting off black culture
he’s a guest in hip hop he’s admitted it himself
So? It's music. What do you want him to do? He already signed, produced and work with black artists. He put some on, gave bigger exposure to others, and worked with a lot of them.
What else do you expect from an artist?
he says the n word like four times starting at 0:47
news flash nobody gives a f*** bro, every Eminem thread inevitably ends up with us s***ting on him bc he hasn't dropped a great -top tier good album in a decade
"The Marshall Mathers Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to providing assistance to disadvantaged and at-risk youth primarily in Detroit, Michigan and it's surrounding communities."
I don't live in Detroit so I can't say what he has or hasn't done (I'm sure his heart is ij the right place like most people) doesn't change the fact that there is a sentiment of being neglected that Detroit rappers have (they speak of him like he's a ghost that doesn't do s*** for the city, where are the positive testimonies of his help, I've even seen some of Madonna private charity work )
Also as far as charities are concerned,Which celebrity doesn't have a charity, slapping your name on own doesn't a humanitarian make.
Take a look at this..
"The French Red Cross, founded in 1864, is an independent charity working alongside governments and public authorities. As a key player in society, we provide humanitarian, health, social, welfare and training services."
