Or I guess End of watch can classify under “found footage” even tho it has a lot of 3rd party shots and the point of the footage is Jake is filming a doc for his film class
Best in show and spinal tap are classics. We'll see how the spinal tal sequel goes

I know they been talking about it but sometimes you gotta let classics be
i like when they do it for tv shows
But not movies. Copy.
i never said that wtf
Yeah it inspired the curse as well
Wait fr? How you know? Tell me tell me
Have you seen Summer Heights High?
yes lmfso almost forgot about this s*** had to look it up real quick.
i don’t remember much from the show but i do remember it being hilarious.
i think i watched one or two of the spinoffs as well.
They can be great if done well.
F*** Sasha Baron Cohen but Borat was hilarious.
Popstar was meh.
District 9 hits hard because xenophobia in those parts of the world is very real.
Rewatched End of Day about a year ago and it didn't age well imo. Maybe a remake set in the IG Live era would feel less goofy. I do remember liking the two leads tho and Anna Kendrick. She's very likeable in this.

What you mean about end of watch? You think it felt goofy? Like the cops filming or the gangsters?
I know the Mexican gang was the worst part of the film because they was too cartoony and too extra. In todays day I could see them using IG? But definitely not the cops. Cops, at least the ones in NY, walk around wit body cams so that style of footage still makes sense.

The gangsters were way over the top. I think a mix of police body cam and IG live for the gang would be cool

True. I watch a lot of IG lives where funny enough niggas be telling on themselves, showing guns. Doing anything minus actually committing crimes on live.
Only thing is, besides like the movie “Searching” I never really seen a film implement social media that looked good. Iun think the slim aspect ratio blends well with full screen video

Yeah that aspect ratio is a b**** to adapt on the big screen
What if we take a different approach, almost meta. Let's say there's a documentary filmmaker who checks in with a gang and gets to follow the crew around for a short period of time. Splice that footage with the police bodycam stuff.

You could definitely go that route. You can also go the informant route where niggas don’t know one of they own (who handles the filming) is passing the footage to the feds, mix that up wit the body cam footage whenever they meet or do their bust.
The idea of filming is realistic too, a lot of people may not realize a lotta niggas are flashy and love doing wild s*** on camera. It’s always been like that, that’s why movies like Snow on the Bluff and Gang Tapes exist. Essentially it could be an updated version of that and End of watch.
