If you can't listen to Nas or Jay Z without constantly comparing them I will just assume you don't really enjoy rap music

great post
Exactly the other way around. He never makes the same album twice
Tell me how Illmatic is anything like IWW
Or how Life Is Good is anything like Distant Relatives or Untitled
Bro hasn’t heard any of those albums for real he’s Just repeating something he’s heard if we keeping it 💯

Not to be a d***, but Jay Z has been dropping mid from AG until 4:44 while Nas at least had Life is Good to break up the mid monotony until KD
From AG until 444 jay dropped 2 other albums (BP3 and MCHG)
In that same time period, Untitled and Life Is Good is actually the only albums that Nas dropped, so wasn’t really nothing to break up. Life Is Good is a great album but can it really stack up against AG, BP3, MCHG AND 444? Jay almost had a whole career through a period where Nas had one album. I think it’s beautiful that hit boy has given him some confidence and drive back because that time period was pretty sad

Breh said Untitled and Distant Relatives don't exist
And Nas was still killing features + the standalone songs were fire even during that 5 year hiatus after LIG..

Tbh I forgot about untitled and edited it before you quoted
But I didn’t count distant relatives the same way I didn’t count WTT. And if we do include those, I wonder which would win

Nas might’ve killed about 6 features in his whole career
I think kd1 is decent but kd2 is mad overrated. I got hopes for magic though
to think Nas is breaking new ground while hov is off a bean comparing his wife to Michael Jackson
Man if you hate Tyler just come out and say it
This a real classic post how did you come up with this lol

Depends on one's personal preference and mood. It's music/art, not a combat sport.
What i love about Nas is the fact that he doesn't compromis his is art by doing bubble gum rap just so could catter to a made up audience.
You really take away from your own listening experience if you listen to every Nas song and album all stressed out trying to figure out how to make a compelling argument on a forum that Jay-Z is still better.

Don’t get it twisted. I bought and listened to untitled on release day and jay wasn’t on my mind
I respect that Nas doesn’t care about this s*** but jay has kind of bodied him the last 15 years are so. I honestly wish they were closer to peers than they are

If you truly feel this way deep down that's OK. I disagree and think your approach here is misguided in general but don't really care.
