as a gay woman the most concerning surgery related stuff i've encountered has to be the rising popularity of labiaplasty
so many girls have developed body dysmorphia because their vulva dont look like the ones in p***, so they're cutting off pieces of themselves and sacrificing their own sexual pleasure in the process
actually makes me depressed
WHAT......? this is a thing?
Fr I'm actually getting worried for women. Society doesnt just pressure them to be pretty anymore now they need to be sexy. It will only get worse for them. A lot of girls will grow up with the need to look sexy and trying to look sexy has more physical and mental effect than just trying to look pretty
elaborate on that last point
Very easy, which is what leads to a lot of horrible botched surgeries leaving them even more depressed with future complications.
I'm all for doing whatever you want to your body, but at some point there has to be a line that these doctors can't cross when it comes to possible heath issues.
A lot of these IG models see the surgery as a short-term boost of esteem which generates positive attention, yet fail to realize they must maintain that physique (while balancing the pressure of their followers watching) which costs physical work (exercise) and extra procedures (due to the body changing over time). If they ignore that, then everything falls apart grossly.
Real, thats what I keep thinking about. Women doing this s*** to look good but fail to realize how easy it is for the masses to get tired/bored of a pretty face and just move on. Its similar to how most p***stars are only around for a couple months
you'd be surprised how many male celebrities also get work done lol
Not really personally, I notice it and expect that dudes are doing it too, I just dont think males have the stigma and the beauty expectations that women have
Ima get botox or fillers for my eye wrinkles prolly in my 30's. Im happy with everything else in my body. If it makes you feel good without changing your life, then no problem. Same thing with fixing your teeth
Nah cosmetic surgery should be normalized so the technology/practice gets better & more affordable
Nothing wrong with ppl tryna max out their aesthetics
elaborate on that last point
Sexy now involves a big ass and big t*** with a slim waist and that's not easy to have without surgery. That's the physical effect. Sexy isn't just a physical feature but an attitude also. You have to also act sexy. That used to mean just being a confident good looking woman but now it's more of being a bad b**** like them Instagram models. More girls will grow up feeling the need to act like that and they will be hella materialistic because that's the main feature of a bad b****. That's the mental effect

But they’re doing to compete with eachother
Believe it or not they dont do that s*** to attract men
Y’all think these IG models be doing it for validation from men, nah they’re actually just trying to one up the next IG model
am done

It’s like dudes working out or jumping in juice
U keep trying to push the envelope so much that u get lost in the sauce. One needs to have realistic goals & be conscious of what works for their specific case instead of jumping on any & ecerything.
Cosmetic surgery if done right can be a great thing

Probably less than 10% of the US population could afford this type of s***
Problem is once you get cosmetic surgery, you will just keep trying to discover new flaws and fix it over and over again
Not everyone is attractive and not everyone can be a model
If you really want to change your appearance, you would be surprise what diet and excercise could do for you
And a decent haircut
