It's absolutely insane to me to be so interested in a celebrities life that you need to know every single detail or most of the details.
Half of the artists that have such fanbases are extremely overhyped, ie they make mid music that gets dissected to hell because of s*** like that and gets overblown critical reaction (looking at Taylor heavily).

If I like a song, artwork, movie, whatever piece of art/media, I like it & that's it. A little backstory helps to appreciate it perhaps a bit more, but it won't make me like something I find trash, just cause I know the specific details behind the art/media.

I now appreciate the good, acknowledge the bad, ignore the uninteresting. Makes life a lot better to not invest more than that.

I listen to plenty of artists but don't feel compelled to know more than what's in their songs itself, atleast I don't seek it out on my own.

IMO it matters if their actual lore heavily contradicts with the fake persona an artist has created in lyrics/themes aka bragging about non existent events/material
