Gonna be special for sure
I don't like Pure Heroine at all but this is a nice thread.
it kinda reminded me of Lana Del Rey but worse
that was a misunderstanding I believe, even Vanessa Beecroft posted the actual inspiration. im sure everything is fine now
she probably not as close to Ye after that incident lol

Still mad that she white womaned it up with that slip up lol. She got mad that ye used a stage design she used when she has bitten off Ye for so long

Drivers license sounded lowkey like writer in the dark when I first heard it
Yea that outro bridge on drivers license is crazy similar to the “I am my mother’s child” part of writer in the dark
great thread. lorde is the goat. pure heroine is a top 3 album of the 2010's. the vocal layering on every track is phenomenal and her writing at such a young age is better than anyone in pop music. you should include the track bravado from the ep prior to pure heroine / on the extended of the album. this song in particular on first listen reminded me of kanye and mbdtf so much. apart from the easy similarities between the title of the track and dark fantasy lyrics "we found bravery in our bravado", the production especially in the bridge / chorus with the background choir and drums is heavily mbdtf influence imo.

Crazy how solid Love Club EP is considering she was 15 at the time
tennis court, buzzcut season, ribs, team, still sane, a world alone some of the best songwriting of this generation
