thats just the internet my g. They overhype everything, if you went by the internet you would think Gucci's new music was actually getting burn like that (but they're not. Sorry. Still a hip hop legend though)

it's funny cause I always thought atrocity exhibition was actually a mess (but I always prefered son's Hybrid s***)

There's "hipsters" on both sides, that genius video for Carti fans was the most cringe s*** I've ever seen. But I see what you mean son.

it is the internet, but damn its like, you see all this d***-riding on every forum every social media platform and then its coming up to 6k? something isnt adding up man lol

AE is my fav from him, i think it captures his persona impeccably and the image that he was presenting himself as around XXX era, its messy, bombastic and schizophrenic all like that on purpose, s*** makes me wanna put a hole in the wall lmao
    i didnt watch it yet

Turns out reviews and likes don't translate to sales my g. Why you think schoolboy q's been in his feelings this entire year?

I understand, but I also didn't f*** with XXX like that (besides the title track) and while I do recognize it's place, it nor that perm hair white emo boy image just wasn't for me

bro im not generalizing anything sure theres people that genuinely do enjoy the music, but some of these niggas dont even be spinning these artists that they d***ride lol

look at dannys new s***, everyone on social media hyping him up and sucking his d*** saying AE is the greatest album of the decade etc and it only pushed 6k, all these indie hipster niggas be just capping lol

and im on both sides of the coin regardless, i prefer more lyrical-focused rap but i can enjoy ignorant feel good s*** too lol but ik what youre saying bro

When you say social media, which sites are you referring too? Cause outside of here I don’t even see anyone mention him. They probably do on Twitter I guess but I’m def not on that whinesite.
The few ppl you saw hyping it probably the only ones buying it.

This is the sad thing about hip hop selling out. It’s not really going crafted for you’re young black boy trying to make it out the hood anymore because they aren’t the ones going to the shows. The labels are going to make them cater to the people paying the bills. It good to see our people making money I guess but it sucks that it has to come at the expense of our treasured art form. Hip hop isn’t for black people anymore even if it’s by black people.

that's literally all of music my g.

it wasn't niggas going to jazz clubs in the 50s, hell we wasn't even allowed fam.

Woodstock was nothing but mostly crackas that hated showers but loved coke and STDs.

Wattstax (The black Woodstock) only happened cause (like Cole) tickets were cheap.

No one even acknowledged hip hop had made it UNTIL it left 1520 Sedgwick Avenue.

Maybe it’s time for hip hop go back to its party and college show roots. Let’s start a label

They probably mention him to look cool or artsy or whatever. Probably the same type people who wear vintage rock band tees and tour shirts but don’t even know their music.

It’s about respect. That lives forever. The money will come. Once the label builds a loyal following we’ll always have cash flowing in instead of just being a trend. We can make our own festival that travels and is affordable for the people.

I’ve tried to get into Earl multiple times but I can’t do it. Just ain’t for me but at least he provides substance so I can respect that.

I'll never understand why people on a rap forum are so adverse to lyrical rappers

    saying this as a fan

    The Retiring Mane

You do realize I can make this exact same type of post from Earl's perspective but with more emphasis on the lyrics you know that right?

Like I said, the double standards on this KTT Alley site is hilarious my g.

maybe. I don't really like die lit and earl is my fav/most played rapper so I don't think there's a double standard on my part.
