I paid the extra money to expiate the passport. It’s been 2 weeks and nothing. I wanted to go see an event next week but it’s not looking good

"Expedite service (for an additional $60) can take up to 12 weeks from the day an application is submitted to the day a new passport is received. The 12-week timeframe includes up to 6 weeks for processing and up to 6 weeks for mailing times on the front and back end."

Dam. Looks like I’m missing out on this trip. It’s only been 12 days since I applied and sent all my paperwork. Was hoping to get it this week

I was going say, why they charge all that extra money if it takes 12 weeks. I paid over 200 to get everything rushed

i got mine expedited & i think it took 3 weeks. this was in early 2020 right before the stay in place orders

covid still messing things up. my cousin got his in like a week tho so you never know try calling up your state gov office that issues them might help push you thru

I mean too late now, but be sure to check your township's municipal services site or center for pop-up "Passport Fairs". Sometimes there are events where you can bring your info/paperwork/etc and you can renew your passport on the spot. Takes about a week to do, sometimes even a few days. I did mine and only had to pay about 50 bucks.
