that you still plan on finishing, i think i have like, 20, or so that ive put on hiatus i have some books that i've been trying to finish for years and can just never get around to them. read a bunch of other s***, pick the book back up, read a hundred or so pages and then go on with my life. Yall know what i mean?
yeah i got a few lying around like this need to get them clocked in the summer and spend less time mindlessly scorlling
definitely like 5+
a slightly annoying habit but i can't lie i love having a bunch of books i can just pop back into. they'll get read eventually!
too many
5 pages into infinite jest just reading mad dfw articles so i can say i read IJ to my friends instead of actually reading it

Dis, even if most time I do this it's because the book is boring
1? which is the one i am currently reading
yeah same,I cant stop reading something and start reading something new
A brief history of seven killings by Marlon James. Currently stuck at 78%. Book has fallen off in the final third but I'm tryna finish
I'm at like page 100 of Erich Fromm's "Escape from Freedom". The initial thesis was very interesting, but the book's started to become a total slog with this Reformation example. Feels like he's just repeating s*** over and over.
I’ve always got a couple in rotation but I’m mainly focusing on Against the Day by Thomas Pynchon right now.
I’ve been reading The Autobiography of Malcolm X and The New Buffetology, and just started picking up Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.
too many

i honestly think this is the way to go about infinite jest lol
zero
I read one book at a time and don't like starting another book until I've finished the one I'm reading. plus if I lose interest in a book I'll almost never come back to it
also trying to do a better job of not finishing books I don't like. tried reading Helen DeWitt's The Last Samurai, which I've seen called the best novel of the 21st century, a few days ago but couldn't get into it at all so decided to throw in the towel early and I'm glad I did
Reading Murakami short story collection
100 pages into Dune
gave up on infinite jest 2 months ago
I want to keep going cause I heard when it clicks its supposed to be insane payoff. The footnotes are super annoying I forgot I even had to use those to read the appendix
