My sister did
Quit a lofty healthcare job cuz the managers OD. Hasnt worker since january and is the best shes ever been.
Money is always an issue, so i help her out so she doesnt deplete her savings. But for mental health it can have benefits ONLY if there are support around you
It takes a particular mindset to effectively do it tho
Gotta be okay with bad days, hungry days, possible evictions and s***
Not always a good thing
That’s true, also depends on skill set
In the end if the person wants to do it and they take the leap I feel like they figure it out
It’s worth it tbh
I did something similar to this
Don't jump into the cold water and do a hard cut
Start building something on the side while you're still employed and quit when you feel like whatever it is you're working on is growing and sustainable

Yea you gotta plan for that s*** in a way
Like take a day or two to collect yourself, then lock yourself away and get to work. Dont hit nobody up, dont order out. On some real monk s***
Do that for 3 months see where youre at and figure out the next 3 months, repeat
Doing this was the best decision of my life man
I feel like I'm living again. Not just spectating or surviving. Corporate culture and the whole college/university system suck the f***ing life out of you. It's so wild to me how corporate culture has established itself this deeply within our perception of work. S***'s crazy. Line up 50 corporate headshots and it looks like some s*** out of Black Mirror. We shouldn't be living life like this.

It definitely is complicating, I’ve never been able to work for someone so it was either this or I was f***ed lol
I can only speak from my perspective, I left school and just totally never looked back, I have failed multiple times but now I’m at a point where I just get it
I am also someone who can sit by myself all day and work on my own terms, when I’m in the right mind state I don’t need coaxing
But in the end giving it a try is worth it, there will always be more jobs out there

Corporate culture is what it is, I just have no interest in being a cog in that machine lol
