Met this one girl who said that by the time she was done with school she would be like $80k in debt
Got offended when I mentioned the possibility of not immediately finding a job in her field and she cut me off after that lol I think she wanted to be a archeologist or some s*** like that
Degular debt like 600 but itll be off my record in about a year
Student loans haven't f***ed me yet finishing up my first school year.
Niggas getting not one penny out of my on gang
Just got a new car so $12k rn
Dazzit
Getting new car is one of the worst investments. This s*** depreciates as soon you get in it.
Unless you rich, then nvm.
Thread got me scared for my future
Just stay away from s*** you have to pay off, instead of getting a brand new $30,000 car you gonna have to pay off every month just get a used one from Craigslist for $3000 cash. Only go to college if you need it for the career you want to go into, dont just go cuz its what people do. Stay away from anything that puts you in debt and you'll be good.
40k student loan
probably 2k ish between banks and credit cards and cell phone companies I ran off on
and I dont give one finnnnnnnuuuuuucccccckkkkkk

Well I can only speak for myself. I don't care about a car being an investment. Some things in life I have I don't make a focus about profiting on. If I want it I buy it. Even its a 2020 corolla, I may not be rich but if I can afford to pull it off the lot no miles just to say I did that, then so be it.
I definitely feel what you're saying though because next year the same car will be like 8k+ cheaper even with low miles. Its a personal preference

bro my cousin went to a private institution and had planned on going to law school, racked up around $80k in debt
she later transferred out junior year and ended up going to my public uni, now she's >$110k
then she told me couple of months ago she don't know if she wanna be a lawyer anymore

I’ve never understood how people can just continue to rack up debt and somehow assume that when they graduate they will magically find a way to pay it off
As if life goes from diploma to job immediately or something
Most people don’t even find jobs in the field they study! What do you do then!
think my student debt like 18k right now. but it doesn't affect my credit score so its all good
got like 1k on a credit card for the TV i just copped but thats on 0% interest so gonna pay it off by summer or so
There's a few options recommended by my employer and I'm having a hard time deciding between them...
Systems Engineering - if I wanted to take a more managerial route
or
Electrical and Computer Engineering (I'd have a concentration in Signal Processing) - if I wanted to take a more technical route
I switch back and forth on which one I want to do pretty much daily
Both sound successful
Accounting. A CPA certification gets you further than a Master's so I'm considering getting that before going to get a Master's at the moment.
No credit card debt, no car payments, etc. I've been working since high school nonstop, and always saved my paychecks overwhelmingly. Hell I could pay off all my debt now, but I'd rather have a lot saved at any time just because life is unpredictable.
with this mindset youll go a long long way
Low 5 figure student loans. Could pay it off in one payment but I’d rather make payments on it, 1. Spending that much money at once would kill my soul, 2. I’ve heard it helps your credit more
18 k in loans.
2 k in debts to collections agencies .
No cc loans
Pay the collections fam
