It has changed a lot but I wont get personal on ktt.
But everyone saying itt their lives haven’t changed, that’s not a good thing. You are supposed to progress and have more opportunities. Staying still is just as bad as changing for the worst while the rest of the world is moving. Not to mention millions of people have been directly affected by his actions and words.
Americans vote selfishly and thats why we will be discussing the same issues again in 2024, 2028, 2032 etc... it’s always the same s***.

You counting on the government to progress in your own life? I cant name one successful person ever who gave credit to the sitting president at the time for where they got in life

  • Not at all

Actually its gotten a lot better but not much has changed as a direct result of trumps policies

was anybody itt denying that anybody's life has changed? i'm a white male that lives in the suburbs. i can recognize how the country has changed because of the trump administration, i have a lot of issues with it. but how has my life changed directly because of trump? outside of the lackluster response to covid, not very much.

my life has continued on a positive trajectory during the Trump administration. however, given the opportunities I've had in life, unless I f***ed something up myself that would be the case under virtually any administration.

Being online gives me more anxiety, I feel more alienated from people in that space and am less inclined to actually talk to anyone substantively. I think trolling and talking s*** has gotten worse because it's seen at the top and there's so much obvious bad faith arguing now that I can usually tune people out in a matter of seconds.

All this really does is just make people more skeptical and divided. We're pretty much doomed as a nation and as long as we have leaders like this, we might as well split up. It's a waste of time. Maybe there's still hope for a tiny bit of unity, but not under Trump. He sows discord to distract from his own inadequacies.

What unity did we have under obama? Cops were still killing blacks. Protests were still causing mass division. Mass shootings were still a problem

    on college campuses for one

college campuses are full of absolute liberal idiots. They were insufferable back when I went during Obama's second term as well.

People have different experiences, upbringing and shortcomings.
I dont believe that the president is supposed to work miracles and it’s not all trump’s fault. Like I said, things will always be the same and people will always have the same debates, whether it’s a republican or a democrat in power.
Still Trump’s presidency is a major fail

yeah, sorry. i misread your post.

it says a lot that my first instinct is to discuss the negative impacts of his presidency.

  • Oct 27, 2020

As much as I do blame trump for clearly having known about covid for months on end and just downplaying it and taking no action until it was way too late, I think Biden's policies would hurt us a lot more right now since he wants to over spend for his progressive utopia and hike up taxes on corporations, most of whom will just not pay those since they are struggling themselves. That ain't the answer right now.

Republicans have a habit of hiding some shady laws in bills like these. You have to ask, what else was in the bill? The republicans didn’t accept Pelosi’s counter offer either.
There’s enough blame for both parties

yeah I believe the Dems had said republicans were looking to try to bundle some other conservative laws and regulations into the stimulus

Even the first stimulus saved successful business owners millions through the tax loopholes.

Obviously though at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the stimulus bills are about as helpful as the first one now because there is a pretty clear motive for Dems to keep rejecting them until the election because it will only hurt Trump for not getting it done and decrease his chances of re election.

That cant be underestimated. He has ruined our mental health and has empowered the racists. I always have to remind myself that not all white people are bad
