If it's true that it's technically a Party album through Sony/OVO Sound, with Drake appearing uncredited on all of the songs, meaning it may not even appear on Drake's profiles on streaming services: 100-200k

If Drake can be credited somehow despite the UMG conflict, and it's a situation where they have joint billing and it appears on both of their profiles: 250-400k

If Sony actually does some heavy promo for it the week of release (playlisting, billboards, ads, etc.), whether than can mention Drake or not, I think that'll be worth an additional 25k-35k. Given that Party did 37k solo just last year with P4, basically off just his name and Sony promo alone, I feel like it's fair to assume that's what label promo would be worth again, if not more now; him releasing P4 right as the beef was heating up arguably caused him to take some collateral damage due to proximity to Drake, but the heat of that moment has passed now.

Lastly, if they do physicals -- which they absolutely should, at this point -- I'd add another 50-100k to any of the predictions above.

I'm really curious how this is gonna go. Matching FATD's numbers would be great, but that could be a tall order with the industry determined to kneecap him right now.

    Above anything, though, I truly hope it's a cla$$$ic.

I wonder if Sony would lean heavily into promo for this as a way to sort of impress and ‘court’ Drake into coming to them when his UMG deal is up?

I was thinking about that myself. I hope they do. Despite the bullshit being thrown on his name, he's still about to be one of the hottest free agents ever, so it makes sense to try to sway him to join the team.

Being directly after the beef and knowingly being confirmed to be an R&B album my predictions were around 300-400k still easily going #1, however with it being announced today Sabrina carpenter is releasing her deluxe the same day I put this estimate around 200-300k, first week not going #1, it’s clear they are trying to step on him but curious to see what others think

    418K

  • tbh, like 200-300k

It's not the same climate as it was for HNVM believe it or not.

EVERY year sees an increase of people using streaming vs buying albums. That materially impacts 1st week numbers and is a huge reason why 1st week numbers are in decline for everyone year over year.

I would be STUNNED if this did 200K first week and if it did, it should be touted as a MAJOR win.

    Guess you're STUNNED then 🥱
