I still don't want that lmfao. I hate the sappy ballads they try and force on every album. for every Let It All Work Out there's like 5 awful ones minimum
🧢
there is no world where she should ever be on a wayne album. the eminemification of wayne's music in this mack maine world we live in is a legit tragedy
It's not like Wayne hasn't gone for something like that in the past, this isn't anything new. Bruno gave him an iconic chorus, Robin Thicke was on C2. Billie also loves hip-hop and she got a nice voice, so I don't see the issue if the song is good

yeah we'll just have to disagree. wayne is not in c3 mode at all anymore, it makes 0 sense to force pop features at this stage of his career or even have wayne attempt pop records at all. and I hate that bruno record lol, one of the worst on c4
Keep that F***ING VULTURE Miley Cyrus a hundred miles away from every rap album for the rest of time

Did you like what about me with post malone (or sosaman)?
Bro put on so many handicaps just to overcome em

not at all. I really hate that they make him do those songs. it's not like they're his choice either in the way em does it cus he actually likes that sound & song structure. it's all mack/tez decision making
In his Eminem era 🔥
It’s crazy how accurate this is haha Wayne and Em legends though just happy they’re still around and dropping even if it always isn’t for me
boo hoo pop artist on a rappity rap album suck booo
Its just some really wack pop artists tho, if he would have got the Weeknd or Bruno or w/e people wouldn’t have a problem with it even if they are pop

Oh lol. Do you like when any rappers have pop singers for hook?
If Wayne was just in charge on his own a lot of songs wouldnt have hooks at all.
He is f***ing up with the album title. This s*** ain’t gonna sell or be talked about for more than a week
Here for the Billie feature
MGK one can be interesting depending on which sound MGK is going for. I like pop punk MGK but not rap MGK.
Did anyone actually read the article? This sounds interesting to me.
I hear a track where Wayne deftly mimics the cadence of Biggie’s “One More Chance” and Tupac’s “Hit ’Em Up.” (As of press time, only one song I hear has an official title.) Another track is an ode to “cruising through L.A.,” featuring a shout-out to the late Matthew Perry. (Wayne laughingly tells me afterward that he didn’t know Perry and only added him after researching a name that would fit the syllable space.)
Wayne says he focused on collaborations on Tha Carter VI. “If there’s one thing about this album that’s different, it’s me approaching it like, ‘Man, what would I sound like on something with such and such?’ ” Miley Cyrus makes an appearance, and Wayne recorded a track featuring an uncleared Billie Eilish sample, but the most unexpected guest I hear is Italian opera star Andrea Bocelli, who sings “Ave Maria” on another track. Wyclef flew to Italy to ask Bocelli’s permission to sample the song, and ended up telling Bocelli the story of Wayne surviving a self-inflicted gunshot at 12. The tenor was so moved that he decided to sing the opera standard himself. “It’s one of them records that I feel is going to stop time,” Wyclef says.

it definitely depends. most of them are the mike caren special type and they sound dated and awkward from inception. it really needs the hook to fit the song perfect or the rapper has to adapt entirely around the pop song mold. a lot of times it just doesn't work out. but it especially doesn't with wayne because it sounds completely tacked on. and I love that about wayne not needing hooks, I think they should lean completely into rap nostalgia worship griselda type s*** with him with his style now and approach. trying to still make these big spectacle carter rap/pop hybrid albums they've been attempting since the original C5 tracklist just doesn't work. the pure rap songs on there are 100x better than the JT/christina milian records they were trying to force

I get your point for the most part. But definitely dont want wayne to just make griselda music. That would be very boring. A lot of their music sounds dated.
What are your thoughts on this? The album version has one of the producers singing but a lot of people were saying they shouldve dropped this a remix.
