Given it recieved such strong reception initially, I saw somewhat of a turn in many opinions. But with Her Loss coming out being a much better recieved album I think it took a lot of light off of Honestly Nevermind.
So has anything changed for you on the album? I'll admit I've been spinning Her Loss so much since it dropped it almost overshadowed this album, which for me was AOTY when it dropped. But giving Her Loss room to breath and going back to this album this s*** is still one of his best efforts and I believe still a strong AOTY contender.
Still the album I didn’t know I needed from Drake. I get why people have criticisms of it, but if you love it you really love it
Was a record that I felt people were quick to dismiss for whatever reason, I thought it was dope from the moment it dropped.
Still in rotation, one of the albums of the year, and some of his finest work on the pop side
Texts go green >>>
Liability >>>>
Tie that binds >>>
Also this album didn’t go nearly as left as people made it out to be.
Enjoyed it back then and still do
Singing might not be some of the best we’ve heard from drake but those Melodie’s only drake could pull off
Furthermore, hated falling back and then suddenly ended up being on rotation and Liability is phenomenal
People jumped on the hate train on it first because it was his most unconventional body of work perhaps ever, took a risk with it and happy he did. Folk overhated on it because they want drake to fall off
