On the music side at least the music is pretty decent by soundtrack standards. seems like the album will be a good in-between project for us before the third album drops in his new trilogy

Not too much, you can write this one off for a number of reasons. Sam Levinson tax, blurring the lines with the ""Tedros"" s***, his first (should be last realistically) starring role. Some people on the internet seem to have turned on him but as Kanye fans point out in the real world they still like him and he's done worse things for his image than associate with Sam Levinson.
I mean I don't think he'll be good in the next movie but maybe the actually competent writers will try not to overextend him. Even if it's terrible it'll just be two s***ty acting projects and he'll just move back to music and it probably won't damage him much, Don't Worry Darling didn't damage Harry Styles iirc.
