Didn’t some user unironically try to compare Abel to Lebron for his acting
Real s*** though who cares feel like people be overtly weird acting like this show has any relevance to the music he’s dropped over the last decade
the coward has not hanged dong yet as far as i know
Hanged dong
idk but this chune kinda fire @KodakSpice
After seeing his acting chops on "The Idol" he should never pick up another acting role in his life again
Artists don’t have “legacies” no more champ the Information Age destroyed mono culture and peoples personal views and perspectives are all over the place for every artist and critics are more biased and tone deaf then ever
Only way you leave a legacy now is with numbers. How many people care? A lot? Cool you’ll be remembered
I think the discussion will be more on the idea of this overt sexualized content the weeknd is known for and whether or not that has an expiry date
I think the main criticisms of the idol (besides the acting) is just the over sexualized content that is rapey. I get that’s the point of the show, but at the same time is this something we recognize as being pushing boundaries’ or just kinda corny and embarrassing now

making noise for being bad > no one talking about it for being decent
the idol being this polarizing after 2 episodes is a huge W idk how y’all can’t see this
show is funny, acting is mid, the introspection into the music scene is vivid and the shorties are bad. it’s a hit
Honestly considering selling my tickets to see him next month & getting rid of my Abel vinyls. I fear it's only gonna take one or two more episodes for me to turn into a legitimate Abelist.
wont effect him in the slightest other than positively for the fans that like the show lmao
He's still going to continue to pursue film/tv
his next project is with an actual good director too
and even if thats also bad once again it wont take away anything from his accomplishments
Put out another album with a few hits and it'll be forgotten immediately
Drake was mocked relentlessly for a month straight in 2018 but nobody cared once the In My Feelings video dropped
Abel will survive one s***ty acting role
harry actually had some minor acting hype behind him for his dunkirk role, but he dropped two stinker projects last year and his acting stock plummeted
harry and weeknd kinda the same thing though where they can easily fall back on music worst case
Harry was good in dunkirk though
As long as his music stays good it does nothing
It’s like Jordan playing baseball as a side quest
Harry was good in dunkirk though
he was, but it was p much a non speaking role tbf
