How did you sell it 20 times tho and what does that mean?
Does that mean that those 20 people now have ownership of those artpieces? Its not yours anymore?
so you can “mint” as many copies as u want in theory, some are 1 of 1 and some have a set number. we set this at 20. everyone who bought one had theirs numbered so like 1-20 of 20 in order of who bought one
the first 5 people to buy mine get a VHS tape with my album on it (which was merch I had left over from my album drop)
the cool thing about NFTs is that if anyone ever relisted this piece on the secondary market, the original creator gets -0% of all royalties of resale

I'm sure he didnt sell one piece 20 times but 20 pieces 1 one time. The art piece wasnt 1 out of 1.
And it means 20 people have the ownership to the piece they brought
We already have a section for s*** musicians, make your thread there

So do they own the art now as in they could resell it?
So do they own the art now as in they could resell it?
yes, and they can set whatever price they want, but the cool thing is, me and the digital artist get 10% of the royalties
that’s what makes NFTs so good for creatives, is the blockchain technology secures the original transaction so we’ll always be credited and accounted for
Idk I stepped into a clubhouse room discussing it and it felt like an Herbalife scam
Clubhouse rooms can make everything sound like that

Agreed but The Cloud Club is one of the best forums for best framework/architecture practice I’ve seen.
It’s singlehandely made me not delete the app lol
Also the one room 21 savage is always in is p funny
i think the best way I can explain it is it's like trading cards or collectibles, but entirely digital/online. and rather than it just being a .jpg file or something, it's protected by blockchain technology, which tracks every transaction it goes through (it's the foundation of coins like bitcoin and ethereum)
I still have no idea like not at all

So the 20 people that made a purchase now own the exact same piece of art?
Or do they all own 20 completely different pieces of art?
All they got for 50$ is a picture and a remix of one of your songs? Did I get that right? (Except the first 5 ppl, who also got a vhs or whatever)

yea they all own the same piece of art. it’s just numbered. it’s like when an artist does 20 vinyls and numbers each of them, everyone owns the same album
and yea thats totally right. the market is wild lol. a lot of people buying them now are speculating that theyll be worth more in the future. and there are smart people who agree with that, and smart people who disagree
Will you share some money with me I am in debt and sad
let’s work 🤝 i could use ur descriptive ktt post writing to write some blog pitches for me . or u can get me an rx nephew feature

So theoretically, they can now upload that remix song they got to Spotify and earn money of off its streams?
Or put the picture up on some photostock site and sell it over there for commercial use? Because they own it now?

that’s a good q. i dont think they have the right to upload it to spotify but that is something i havent really considered lol. even if they did have the legal right to, theyd have to bust it down 20 ways so sucks for them !!!
as for the picture thing, the best a***ogy ive heard is that its like a warhol painting. you can buy a replica in urban outfitters but if you have that certified warhol its obv something totally different

like if they made the legal argument that they owned the song, they would only own 1/20th of it because 19 other people also have that same claim to ownership. and thats just assuming that they would legally be allowed to upload to spotify anyway which i dont think they would be

Why would they legally not be allowed to upload it to Spotify if they own the song?
Also, how did the buyers know that you are the actual creator of the art that you were selling and that you own it and not someone else?

i guess there was no verification that i really am hadji gaviota. this s*** kinda is the wild west rn and youve made some good points throughout
i also think that as the creator of the remix i would need to give them express consent to post it on a streaming service and make money off of it. but truthfully i dont know the answer to that. im sure that bigger NFTs like the tory lanez or kings of leon ones has specific stipulations about that
