Why did I sign up for this

would watch GOTG2 right after GOTG1 btw

GOTG was the one that really sold me on the MCU

I remember see previews for this on TV and thought how f***in dumb and corny it looked

I had seen some MCU movies at that point but wasn’t fully into it

When I finally got around to seeing this, was amazing

Kinda the same thing with Ant-Man… GOTG was much better obviously but I thought both looked absolutely corny

The fight scenes

Wow! MCU with another banger. Props to James Gunn for real. This movie felt like A breath of fresh air to the MCU. Was stylistic and funny. all the characters in this one are great, the villains were amazing, the fight scenes were alright but overall this was one of the most entertaining marvel films easily.

Also shoutout to the imax enhanced on Disney plus, so far only iron man 1 and this has had imax scenes and wow they were visually stunning. All of phase 3 on has imax so I can’t wait.

Guardians of the Galaxy 8.5/10

Thought winter soldier was the better film, but this movie was great. My third favorite so far.

This feels like a movie for people who “dislike” the MCU, or a movie you should show someone to get into the MCU. Starting to not get why MCU has such a bad rep for film enthusiasts… sounds like they just haven’t watched them (I’ll admit I just jumped on some hate trains to hate the MCU as I just haven’t seen all of them and it seemed like I’d never catch up). All these films (sans dark world really that one was ass!!!) have artistic merit to them and deserve to be treated as “real” films.

Next film. Age of Ultron

After further thinking bump avengers down to an 8.5 and move guardians to my second favorite
