Idk what AAN is but my strategy is for my cover letter to get my resume to be noticed and memorable against the other (digital) pieces of paper they'll be sorting out
i dont think the background/text shadow effect makes it stand out in a positive way and it might just be distracting. standing out visually might not be a good thing, there is a danger of looking unprofessional rather than creative
also i dont think its necessary to include the sentence about liking anime and video games, they already know you like video games and competitive events from the other part of the resume and they just dont give a s*** about the anime part
I respect the thought behind it but fam this looks like a high school PowerPoint slide
I've applied a lot of skills through different experience, so I intended to say what I've been doing over these last few years and how these experiences apply to my current skills, and also what I'm interested in in the future. Ultimately, I can perform many jobs, particularly the one I'm applying to
The titles of positions I applied to with this resume includes Head of Content, Head of Operations, Content Specialist, Consumer Games Account Manager, etc
ya that makes sense
id cut out all the stuff that's just your interest in the future tho, sincerely. you should instead focus on what you want that company/position to help you with in the future. for instance, in this role, i hope to deepen my knowledge of branding strategies yadda yadda yadda or something. something that shows you're really interested in the job itself, so employers feel reassured you really want to do their job and their job specifically
if your interest is in content and whatnot,
id definitely cut 2 of the 5 bullets you've dedicated to the postmaster role.
im not sure you need any of the bulletpoints describing what the various companies/orgs do, mainly just what YOU did and what skills you learned. and if two bullet points illustrate you having the same skill, probably cut one. if the skill is in no way relevant to the position, probably cut it--for dreamhack for instance, cut the reviewed resumes part as it doesn't tell me how well you'll do as a content specialist. for content a***yst, it would be the excel spreadsheet bit--that feels like it would have to be a given, and sounds way less cool than the actual a***ysis you were doing lol
additionally, the profile bullet points should really be encapsulated inside of the work experience. like the innovative thinker point can just be under the postmaster section and replace bullet points 1, 3, 4, or 5 as i feel like those honestly dont tell me that much lolo.
and then by removing some of the extraneous bullet points so that each sect only has 3 (or 4 if u rly feel this is a super important experience), you will allow ppl to get that info easier from work experience, rather than having to have an extra section to reiterate points, essentially. this will also siginficantly cut the length of your resume i feel.
i also think you might as well cut the magazine one--again, it sounds like its just a student club type thing? and 6 years out, you really dont need a student club on ur resume anymore, especially since its not really directly related to the roles ur seeking it seems... plus u already have a lot on your resume, so its really unecessary
dog why u keep putting that willow smith pic on everything
I initially placed it for visibility against the background, but I too believe I may prefer the version without the shadow. I'll take a look at both versions again
Yeah I'm just messing, I definitely see why you put it but it just makes it look messier lol. I would definitely change it though or change the color of the background, maybe decrease the opacity more so it doesn't take away focus from the text too much. Sorry if I came across ignorant lol, it's only because it has potential with some changes.
yeah I think you should drop the shadow of the text
Mans is a designer and hit me with a wall of text
Create an attractive web portfolio. Makes more sense given what your background is.
Just being honest, so don’t take offense when I say this, one of the worst cover letters I’ve seen in my life
Resume should be 1 page, make different versions for diff role to reduce all the garbage you got on it
I'm re-designing the resume now. Excited for the product but not excited to be designing this resume once again, haha.

This
You don't need to include every single thing you've done on a resume. For whatever position you're applying for, only keep the s*** that is related to it.

use a template, download a psd or something like that then modify at your own taste
