interest and loans can be great for both parties because it allows you to borrow on future money an investment can make you even if you dont have the funds today

there needs to be an interest rate to incentivize the lender to give out said loan

predatory loans, like those for education are not good.

Because who controls the technology? the ruling class, the elites, the capitalists. What will they use it for? to exploit the workers, or toss them aside into the dumps when ever it benefits them.

Technology is produced and owned by the people in power with capital and they have no incentive to help anyone but their own.
