Grime uses MCing but it isn't hip-hop

Same way dub music or jungle music can use MCing

No they dont, they are rapping now

MCing is different, which also is how Rap started

MCing was the adlibbing to the DJ, which came from Jamaica as well

Then MCing evolved into Rapping where now the artist is the main part, no longer the dj/beat

MC was and still is a common term as well here, but theyre not literally MCing.

How is this not hip hop

English niggas trying too hard to be different yet again

Hip-hop and grime both come from Jamaican sound system culture which in turn has roots much further back to West African music

In the UK, Caribbean sound system culture turned into dub music, that turned into jungle, drum & bass, later garage and grime. So grime comes from electronic music and is seen as an electronic genre.

In the US, the sound system culture morphed into looping disco and funk records more and the DJ lost his importance way earlier to the MC.

No, it developed separately. Basically hip-hop and grime have the same grandfather (Jamaican sound system culture).

although this still happened in America as well lol especially on the West Coast

We have a whole era of the late 70s to early 80s called the "Electro" era such as Egyptian Lover, Arabian Prynce, early early NWA etc.

Grime (and its predecessors) didn't care about the rapper until way into the 2000s. So like for 20 years it was more about the DJ. I would say that stopped in the early 80s in the USA, maybe even in the late 70s.
