Also the traditional notions of what defined masculinity in America. Nuclear family, nice house, stable retirement all is becoming harder and harder to obtain for younger generations of men because of the stagnation of wages relative to COL over the past 30+ years.

the loser stuff/redpill ideology/hyper-masculine is an outgrowth of men needing an outlet to connect pieces as to why men aren’t as “successful” (often these grifters define success by materialistic things) and interpret their situation.

its also important to remember that this societal norm is quite recent, only really showing up in post-WW2 New Deal society when white ppl moved to the suburbs away from the urban centers

Historically, yes. Especially in college and right after. But had a really bad breakup and hasn’t shaken back mentally.

I see this pattern in many men after a bad break up. All this negative messaging towards men after something emotionally traumatic like that can really change you.

They won’t be able to reproduce. Just having a job won’t cut it like it used to because women are rightfully making good money and don’t need men anymore for financial stability.

Yes you’re not wrong, but a lot of the traditional institutions that bound men and women together are becoming obsolete (or atleast socially humans are saying they are). Financially women can make more money, have better access to reproductive care, can open bank accounts so the material basis for being dependent on a male is not as prevalent.

Women can choose mates now based off more preferences and not just strictly forced marriages, marriages out of economic necessity. Aka women are now getting to go based off their genuine wants and desires. This isn’t even addressing social media and the increased potential access to socialize and find partners
