NGL if I was a kid, I would be so pissed if I got rewarded sunflower seeds and and dried fruit if I knew I could've gotten pizza instead.

theyre not getting a choice its a surprise
the more i think about it, the more i think it's just poison for profit. make everything so high in sugar, put cartoon characters on the package, advertise it on all kids media. then you have a customer for life
theyre not getting a choice its a surprise
Yeah I'm saying imagine being surprised with trail mix and finding out it was originally supposed to be a pizza party...
I lived off sugar as a kid and I was skin and bones lol
I am not saying we should ban sugar in general, but it is good idea as parents to introduce a healthy and nutritious diet to your children so they can have a healthy relationship with eating.
The fact that kid's snack are full of sugar and marketed toward feeding BABIES is legit insane and stupid and unnecessary. I do not think a pizza & ice cream party should not happen, but every snack and treat doesn't need to be HFCS instead of using fruit or whole foods, it makes it a difficult and high-barrier task to give something nutritious yet tasty to kids .
Sugar is gOod for the brain
Yeah I'm saying imagine being surprised with trail mix and finding out it was originally supposed to be a pizza party...
why or how would they find that out
and if theyre enjoying the treat in the moment and having a good time thats al ltha matters. they/you will always be disappointed if youre thinking about how much better an alternative would have been
I ate a crazy amount of sugar as a kid bruh my Halloween bag would last me months
and im great
pls give those kids a damn pizza and ice cream party
i cant imagine my teacher giving me a broccoli and oats party, i would crash out on her
Imagine walking into class thinking you’re getting a pizza party with coke and vanilla ice cream and the teacher pulls up with granola bars
Leave the nutrition to the parents OP
A lot of these parents feeding their kids trash though so they really are doomed either way
omm PLEASE cut back @op
its lowkey BEING part of a kid
as an adult, you dont want that s*** no more
as long as you not like constantly over feeding these kids please let them be children for today in a few years they finna have to get jobs and watch what they eat and s***
if you want to do something ACTIVE , maybe give them a kite day or kickball day or something fye
maybe if you wanna go more nutritional do some type of yogurt thing ?
maybe even just a movie day
but please know, pizza and ice cream day finna reign supreme nutritionally
youre not wrong but the thing is kids will be happy with whatver treat they get. thats just people in general too, they appreciate gesture they aren't entitled or obligated to
highly doubt any kid getting to go around and pick how they want their trail mix will actually go, "I wish this was pizza" when you think about it they could say that about any meal or treat
ask yourself if you think theyd prefer trail mix or pizza if they knew both were on the table, i think this will help you decide
Sugar, sugar, sugar, blah, blah blah
Nobody wan talk about them "seed oils" tho.
real
if you want to do something ACTIVE , maybe give them a kite day or kickball day or something fye

also sugar is way more beneficial to children until you become an adult lol
he can just do pizza without the ice cream
ask yourself if you think theyd prefer trail mix or pizza if they knew both were on the table, i think this will help you decide
what part of they're not getting a choice and weren't promised anything in the first place do people not get lol
I'm not choosing based on what they would rather have more its about a compromise of something thats tasty and good for them
"ask yourself if they would rather have pizza over something else every time and if they would want pizza give them pizza" like dude dude what
I came in here to post the f*** them kids pic but then ppl are actually saying that itt lol
I think the whole idea that sugar is so unhealthy is lowkey exaggerated as f***. Obv if u eat mad sugar all day every day its not healthy but like having tasty snacks is fine
Processed sugars are terrible for you. Natural sugar isnt a big deal in moderation
what part of they're not getting a choice and weren't promised anything in the first place do people not get lol
I'm not choosing based on what they would rather have more its about a compromise of something thats tasty and good for them
"ask yourself if they would rather have pizza over something else every time and if they would want pizza give them pizza" like dude dude what
Bro gonna force these kids to eat their broccoli by any means necessary
Kids are resilient, they can afford to eat like s***
I mean to an extent. A lil class pizza party isn't gonna turn anyone into Lil Terio
NGL if I was a kid, I would be so pissed if I got rewarded sunflower seeds and and dried fruit if I knew I could've gotten pizza instead.
Exactly
I teach grade schoolers at my church and they behaved very well at Mass the other week so I wanted to do something special for them. I spoke to the coordinator and suggested doing a trail mix bar where they can make their own mix and instead she just suggested pizza and ice cream because thats what the kids will like most
I hate that I'm going to have to do a back and forth to try and convince her to do something nutritious and healthy for them. I aint saying shes a bad person or anything the problem is bigger than her, its just tiresome and really disheartening that the common attitude towards treat ideas for kids
they already have an assortment of options for sugary snacks when they come in after school they really dont need another one right after that one, at least have it be a bit nutritious
wow we got Catholic School teachers on KTT?
the internet is getting crazy, I would've never imagined this 7 yrs ago
tbh it sucks that it's so accessible for them but as a caretaker, you kinda have to get creative & limit their exposure to that type of food in order for them to value a healthy diet.
I'm not saying that I NEVER give my niece candy or ice cream, because I do on occasion, but we also try to have her eat fruits, nuts, cheese sticks, etc. I think with some kids its easier to get them to eat healthy foods if they are more active
