So they say
I haven’t seen it though. I didn’t get an internship. The market is really competitive and it all feels like a waste
Build that resume up tbh start taking smaller positions and s*** thats the only way to make it in a overflooded market
the most free I've ever been to pursue a passion was being single, no b**** to moan n groan to me, no rules. i would str8 up come home from a long 12 hour shift, shower and hop on the craft.
now i gotta worry bout TALKING

Electrical engineering degree feels like complete bullshit I ain’t got a clue what to do with it
This quarter sapped me of everything I’m like a corpse
Make guitar pedals / audio equipment and sell it for quadruple its actual cost
im mor than halfway through college and im only now realizing that my degree is bullshit and that i have no interest in any of my classes or anything im doing in school
my passion is art. i want to produce music, rap, make films, thats the only thing that makes me happy in life is making s*** and sharing it with others
except needless to say it is very difficult to make a living off of that without serious luck, talent, or connections all of which im lacking
im too far in both time and money wise majors and i have literally zero interest in any of the profitable majors like CS, STEM, etc. it literally feels like im in college for no reason lmao s***s a scam
who told you u aint going anywhere in life?

I don’t know how to do that actually

I have an extremely limited understanding of circuits and components but ive made a few pedals recently. You can buy kits with instructions, its as simple as lego but just with a soldering iron and a drill.
I guess im just saying this cause i like it and if immediately gained your EE knowledge thatd be the first place id apply it haha.
Working at moog would be amazing i reckon
You should find a mentor
either in your field, your desired field or just in life
Everyone I've asked about their careers has said "I just fell into it"
myself included lol
The concept of long-term planning is very exaggerated

It’s also just the opportunity to live in nyc, Detroit, socal, Austin
I really want to travel as much as possible

I skipped the sodering class but it seems pretty easy. Do you sell the kits rn?
That’s life man. There’s no set time of when we find our calling in life. Just trust that you will reach it eventually

Nah i dont sell anything yet but one day i want to sell my own pedals

Nobody’s making you be in a relationship. And it sounds like you probably shouldn’t be in one
I thought sales jobs were commission based
They are always base salary + commission.
Most big companies like Microsoft, Adobe, SAG etc have training programs that the higher students out of University for. It usually doesn't matter what degree you have as long as you have one you get in and if you're good at communicating you can turn that 40K base salary into 80K. The enterprise level once you climb up your base salary will be like a 100 K with commission you can break 200 K or more
So do BDR (business development rep) -> account manager SMB -> account manager mid size -> account manager enterprise.
Once you get to enterprise software sales youre rich af
