Why? It’s depressing and unfulfilling and just doing it for the money will give you golden handcuffs that will make you hate your life and be unable to do anything about it either

About to enter the market for a quality assurance job and you’re scaring me!
I hope you get into a good company; QA is fun, but it can also be a thankless, low pay position in a ton of places.

Stereotypical corporate soul-sucking and utterly meaningless way to spend 40 hours/week of my life
Want to figure out how to create my own company next

no f***ing way
I did way less than 40h the last 6 months.
It’s an individual thing to me, I just cannot tolerate something I don’t feel passionate about, no matter how long it is. And this was an accumulation of 8 months of not wanting to work here but being a coward about quitting because the pay was so good and it’s scary to walk the path of entrepreneurship. So I got to a place where I literally couldn’t open my laptop. It was really bad.
Preach
I worked really hard to:
then realized it's not worth it. Like right after my promo, I asked about when id be eligible for promo again and my manager said no matter how hard I work, I still gotta wait a certain amount of time, like 1.5 years. That made me realize all this corporate stuff is bullshit. And even when you get promoted, your pay is not that much higher after taxes. While the people and execs at top are getting an insane amount of returns. Why the f*** would I be part of this system much longer
I guess because I'm not in your position I can't really judge but I can't see myself leaving 250k job
I would most likely live somewhat frugal and try to save and invest around 70% of my pay for a few years and then either retire or switch jobs.
Maybe you're very ambitious inside and looking for something bigger?
Does your salary matter to you or you would take a job that aligns with everything that you want but with much lower pay, say less than 100k?
Build products people want
Launch
Generate revenue
And if not that, then just raise money based on an idea
Or go down the VC path

Source? Can you provide a source for once, GhostDeini718??
you can literally google inflation calculator and click on any website and it gives you the same results
But I used this bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm
Can you provide your source?
Edit: nvm I found the website that you used and it gave me different results from yours
I have no idea how you got your results lol
Bruh you got it made compared to factory workers , truck driver jobs of the sort
Comparisons like this are p pointless tho, if OP was unfulfilled at that job he’s not gonna gain fulfillment from thinking yea damn people got it worse than me
