as someone who is about to leave their 20s by this time next year,

live it up as much as you can

take trips (when things open back up)
    do new s***
    meet new people

    but also

make sure you are thinking ahead as well. try finding jobs that will provide you with marketable skills in the job market and start saving money early

    that’s the basics really

    happy birthday!

Make sure you’re falling in love with someone who shares the same values as you.

Be careful what you put your emotions into.

Mental illness shows up in your mid-20s, so be aware of your mental state and find help if you need it.

  • Mar 16, 2021

Yeah, there are going to be a lot of ups and a lot of downs.
It's all part of the journey.

Try s***, figure out what you really love to do, what is the essence of what brings you fulfilment.

F*** around, literally. (safely tho) Don't get too caught up in long term relationships. Be young, enjoy. Have a couple of flings. Settling down is a later 20s type thing.

use your 20s to build for your 30s

and dont squander your prime years (20-25 imo)

    Disclaimer: i am 23

You are constantly going to be comparing yourself to the people around you in the early 20s.

Avoid that as much as possible and know everybody is on a different route. That'll help you avoid the essential crisis of 23-24 with, "What the f*** am I doing with my life."

Party hard, festivals, shows, women -- do it up and also slide in those internships, work, $$.

Don’t listen to Doomers who tell you “it’s all downhill from here”

Life is what you make it. Don’t sit passive, let life happen to you and then play victim. take control of your own life.

As bravely finance said, use this time to build up for your 30s. You’ll thank yourself for it. Start investing if you haven’t. Have a savings account. Learn to budget. Learn to budget. Learn to budget.

Learn a skill that you can commodify.

Get in shape. Work out regularly. A sharp body is a sharp mind, and those who are less likely to be pushed around physically are also less likely to be pushed around mentally.

Try not to compare yourself to others. Everybody is going at different paces and some people have more
    advantages than others.

Focus on building yourself and your purpose instead of chasing women. Though, if you do end up running into someone that’s fine too. There’s nothing wrong with settling down with a good woman. But make sure that you KNOW she’s the right one for you. You’ll know.

Always drive a car that you love.

  • happy birthday!

    experience what you can
don’t worry about money just do things
in addition don’t break your back exchanging your youth to work for money
    don’t take life too serious
try something creative that you’ve always wanted to do
don’t compare, we’re all on a different path

It's cool to make your days count and be productive but also don't beat yourself up because you don't reach a certain insane expectation you or others have for yourself. It's ok to f*** up and be lost in life, it happens to everyone, as long as you know how to bounce back up.

Build your own pace and take things slowly if you happen to be down bad
